YES, I AM PRIVILEGED!
OWN IT AND BE PROUD OF IT!
HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR PRIVILEGE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
My gardener came round with his brother who seems to have a learning disability. He saw my car and said loudly “privileged, isn’t she?”His brother told him you can’t say that. But you know what he’s right, compared to many I am.
At first I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed and then I stopped and embraced it. We should be proud of our privilege, it means we are in a position make a difference to others. Use your privilege don’t hide it.

How are you using your privilege?
Recognise your privilege and embrace it
Use your privilege positively.
And when someone calls you privileged
Hold your head up and say yes I am privileged
And this is how I use it to make a difference
Be proud of your privilege don’t hide it.
Use it to make a real difference.
Don’t be embarrassed or make excuses
Simply recognise and accept it for what it is
A gift, to make your life and that of others better.
Recognise what you have and what others don’t.
Recognise what this allows you to do.
Use your privilege in a positive way
Make it count, don’t waste it.
