Still processing this… Whilst I can see why some people may see the humour in this clip, to me it represents discomfort at different levels for both the two men involved. It is therefore important to me that we see past the humour and really recognise the palpable tension between the two men.Conversations about racism can be uncomfortable and I think this clip beautifully demonstrates this and encourages us all to stretch into this discomfort. Sometimes we can hide behind the humour (often because the messages are too painful) but it is important that we also open our eyes to the lessons, talk about them and use this whenever we can.
